James DeSantis grew up in northwest Pennsylvania
outside of a small town.
He joined the United States Army where he was a truck driver for two years. He then worked construction for thirteen years doing: linoleum, tile setting, outdoor carpet, roofing, cement, plumbing, painting, and dry wall.
James moved to Phoenix, Arizona to become a massage therapist. He worked in this field for three years and became a teacher at one of the local schools. He quit teaching to go to school to acquire greater computer operating skills. He used those skills to work an office job for a year. Upon being downsized, he got a job working in a hospital’s kitchen. He went to school while in the kitchen to become a nurse’s assistant. He worked his way up to a licensed practical nurse which is where he is today.
When asked where he will be in ten years and what he will be doing, he replied, “I have no idea.”
